Indian wrestler Yogeshwar Dutt‘s bronze medal will get upgraded to silver after Russia’s Besik Kudukhov‘s sample tested positive. Yogeshwar Dutt’s medal may now get converted into gold after the winner of the 60 kg wrestling event Toghrul Asgarov also returning positive for banned substance, As a reported by Hindustan Times.
The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has been conducting retests of samples from Beijing and London Games to expose drug cheats. World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) is yet to officially communicate the news of Toghrul Asgarov’s testing positive to the world body United World Wrestling (UWW). An official confirmation is still awaited and Yogeshwar Dutt’s samples will also be retested before the upgradation of medal is done.

Earlier, Russian agency flowrestling.org had reported that the two-time Olympic medallist Besik Kudukhov of Russia, who had died in a car crash in 2013 in southern Russia, was found to have used a banned substance in a test conducted by the WADA. Yogeshwar Dutt, meanwhile showed tremendous sportsman spirit, expressed that he is not keen to collect the upgraded silver medal from 2012 London Olympics in Twitter.
