Xiaomi is all set to bring its new Redmi 3 variant, the Redmi 3S, to India. The Redmi 3S was launched in China back in June at a price of CNY 699 for the 2GB RAM and 16GB storage variant, while the 3GB RAM and 32GB storage variant was priced at CNY 899. The prices for India is yet to be announced.
Xiaomi Redmi 3s features a 5-inch HD display with 720×1280 pixel resolution. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor paired with 2GB/3GB of RAM. It offers 16GB/32GB of internal storage, and supports microSD cards of up to 128GB in size. Redmi 3s comes with hybrid dual-sim support and runs on Android5.1 Lollipop OS with Xiaomi’s MIUI baked on top.
The Redmi 3S sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with PDAF (phase detection autofocus), f/2.0 aperture, HDR mode, 1080p video recording, and LED flash. There is also a 5-megapixel selfie camera with 1080p video recording capability. The handset is backed by a 4100mAh battery, measures 139.3×69.6×8.5mm, and weighs 144 grams.
