New trailer footage ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ has recently been leaked online. Olivia Munn, who plays the powerful mutant Psylocke, admitted her love for the character and underwent intense physical training in preparation for the role. She loves the fact that Psylocke is a strong and determined female character who does not think twice about killing people.

Olivia Munn Said:

“I’ve loved Psylocke for so long. She’s a really, really strong badass female character in this comic book world where a lot of times the women don’t get to be strong and badass. You see a lot of superheroes [who] don’t always want to kill, and they’ll avoid it if they can. She’s never had a problem killing, and I like that she was the bad guy that had no problem being the bad guy. She’s telekinetic and telepathic so she can read your mind. She can create anything with her mind. To win any fights, she can just create a mountain and have it fall down on you, but she chooses to create a sword so she can kill up close and personal. I always thought that was really cool and badass.”

Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshiped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Lawrence) with the help of Professor X must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.

While the comic book version of Psylocke has mostly walked on the side of the angels, “X-Men: Apocalypse’s” version of the character will be one of titular villain Apocalypse’s Four Horsemen along with Magneto, Storm and Archangel.

Directed by Bryan Singer “X-MEN: APOCALYPSE” Starring Strong Olivia Munn and Badass Psylocke is scheduled to be released on May 27, 2016.
