WWE star Chyna’s brain is going to be donated to science. Former professional wrestler and reality television personality – whose dead body was found at her home on Wednesday. Reportedly agreed to be an organ donor before she passed away and according to her manager Anthony Anzaldo, plans are in motion to remove her neural structure and hand it over for medical research.
Manager Anthony Anzaldo said, “We want to donate her brain. We want to know what made Chyna tick.”
“When she died, they called me again and asked, ‘Can we have her brain, My hope is that we can do it. I’m in the process of getting the permission to speak on behalf of family to tell the coroner it’s okay to release it.”
He identified the doctor involved as Dr Bennet Omalu, the famed forensic pathologist who discovered chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) by examining professional football players.
Previously, many WWE superstars including Kevin Nash, Mick Foley and Rob Van Dam had agreed to donate their brains for this research. John Cena recently mentioned in an interview that he would be open to donating his brain to research because he’s donated his body for other things. Cena said if he could do things to help people after he exists, he would be open to it. This is a huge contribution since concussion and CTE effects differ massively between men and women.
Former WWE star wrestler Chyna was found dead in her Los Angeles-area home.
