2016-2017 winters have been amazing. While we enjoy the snowfall and cozy winter blankets we human forget about animals. The cold nights and are warm winter jackets protecting us with the heater on of the bedroom but what about animals have we ever thought about them. Happy! We have some good people in our country who have thought about the nights of animals.
People from Mathura who belong to an NGO have taken the initiative to take care of the rescued elephants in their city. Wildlife SOS Elephant Conservation and Care Centre in Mathura these ladies from the nearby areas have come together for a beautiful cause. They are knitting sweaters and jumpers for rescued elephants for the winter so that they don’t feel helpless anymore.
The gigantic sweaters look pretty but it’s not at all easy to knit them they take months to knit one sweater. There are around 20 elephants who have been rescued by the NGO who is doing a good deed for the society. These elephants are visually impaired, and some have various disabilities.
Here is a beautiful picture of women knitting the sweaters selflessly.
After a long while, these elephants have been in good condition. Before the rescue, the illegal traders used to harass the elephants badly they have kept them in a very bad condition. Circus and illegal trafficking are the worst places for them, and their lives have been ruined just because they cannot express through words. We are glad that this NGO has taken such agood initiative especially Kartick Satyanarayan founder of the NGO Center in Mathura who has made the idea into living.
