Playback singer Benny Dayal has tied the knot with girlfriend Catherine Thangam. Benny Dayal’s marriage has been confirmed by music director Vishal Dadlani, who shared on Twitter a photo of himself with the newly-weds from the wedding venue. Vishal Dadlani also attended the wedding. Vishal took to Twitter to posted an adorable picture of the much-in-love couple. Vishal captioned the image, “You guys are beautiful! @bennydayalofficial and @catherinethangam , much love and joy, always!”
According to an online portal, Benny met Catherine through a common friend. The couple followed the Hindu and Christian rituals in the marriage on Sunday. Catherine, who is based in New York, has performed on several prestigious stages for a variety of artists and events in the New York City and New Jersey Area. She has trained in classical Indian dance since the age of eleven.

She had a cameo role in 2014 online short 100: The Tribute, a film paying homage to the past 100 years of Hindi cinema, and also worked as a dancer in the 2012 crossover feature English Vinglish. There are also reports that reception will be held in Kerala soon. A source said, “Benny was initially apprehensive about the match as they both live in different countries. But they kept in touch for six months through phone calls and instant messages before they finally met in New York.”
Benny Dayal was seen in silk kurta and mundu, while the bride looked pretty in a silver-grey heavily embellished anarkali. The source added, “The wedding is expected to be attended by music industry celebs like Neeti Mohan, Sachin-Jigar, Sonu Nigam, AR Rahman and Arijit Singh.” We tried contacting Benny about his wedding plans and he said, “I would not like to talk about my engagement or wedding.”

Benny has contribute his musical touch to films like Thalaivaa, Delhi-6, Ladies vs Ricky Bahl, Cocktail, 2 States, Hasee Toh Phasee and Bang Bang! He later add his voice for songs like ‘Tu Meri Dost Hai’, ‘Kaise Mujhe’, ‘Tarkeebein’, ‘Daaru Desi’ and ‘Bang Bang’. Benny was catapulted to fame after his song Pappu Can’t Dance from Imran Khan’s Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na became a hit.
