Nidhi Mahajan, an Indian contestant of MasterChef Australia in Season 8 who have cooked Indian food, inspired by her childhood experiences, and impressed the judges time and again. But what Nidhi did after her elimination on May 19 was unprecedented, emotional and totally amazing.
The happy smiling face of this season Nidhi Mahajan was eliminated. Making it into the first Immunity Challenge of the season her star mark, but unfortunately, Nidhi didn’t win it. She was doing quite well till Week 3 of the show, when a potato bhajis she cooked failed to impress the judges and cost her her position in the show.
Nidhi Mahajan asked a special request of judges Matt Preston, George Calombaris and Gary Mehigan. after she was eliminated , “Can I touch your feet out of respect because this is our culture,’ she said adding, ‘The people whom you think as your teachers, you bow to them in respect.”

Her request made the judges all in tears,as she bent down to greet her judges Matt Preston, George Calombaris and Gary Mehigan and touched their feet. It was emotional scenario as eliminations are that part of a show in which a person has to leave its mark and is missed for her generosity.

Nidhi Mahajan, 30 from South Australia, is planning to launch Nidz Kitchen where she will cater in people’s homes, and would love to have her own home delivery service and one day, a restaurant.
“I loved everything about it, being with so many other people who are passionate about cooking. Marco Pierre White loves my food like anything!” she said.
“This whole experience is something I will be cherishing for (the) whole of my life. It’s a life-changer for me.”
