Terrorists in Jammu & Kashmir’s URI have killed 17 army soldiers and injured 19 in a suicide attack on an Army camp on Sunday morning Around 5:45 am when soldiers were sleeping in the army camp. Terrorist entered in URI town which is 102 kms from Srinagar and killed 12 soldiers by bomb attack and rest 5 soldiers were killed by Terrorist while having a open fire.
The terrorists threw 17 grenades in 3 minutes which caused a massive fire in the barracks and tents where 13 jawans were burnt alive. Among the dead, 15 soldiers were from the Bihar regiment and two were from the Dogra regiment. Many others received severe burns as the Army said that 13-14 casualties had reported due to the tents and temporary shelters catching fire. Four jawans succumbed to their injuries later in army hospital. It has not officially put out the list of the dead since some of the bodies are yet to be identified.
The Four militants involved in the terror strike were later killed by the Army and the army even recovered a map from a terrorists revealing their detailed plan of action. The map was elaborately marked with the locations in Pashtun language.
