Vivo last month launched its budget Y31 smartphone and has now launched a new variant dubbed Y31A in China. The form of the Vivo Y31A using a Snapdragon chipset. The Vivo Y31A has many of the same specification as the Y31 except for the change in processor and addition of 4G support. Specifications of the Vivo Y31A are a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 410 64-bit processor, and a 4.7-inch IPS display with qHD resolution of 960 x 540. It has 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage expandable to 128GB with microSD card, and a 2100 mAh battery.

Vivo Y31A an 8 megapixel auto focus rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash, along with a 2 megapixel front facing camera. The smartphone camera can record and playback videos in full-HD resolution. The Vivo Y31A on the connectivity front features 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, FM radio, and Micro-USB connectivity. The Vivo Y31A measures 137.2×68.7×8.3mm, weighs 141 grams. proximity sensor, and photosensitive sensor.

Vivo earlier this month launched one of the first smartphones in the world featuring 6GB of RAM the Vivo Xplay5 Elite. The handset features a dual curved 5.43-inch Super Amoled display with QHD (1440×2560 pixels) resolution. It is powered by Qualcomm’s flagship chipset, the quad-core Snapdragon 820 SoC clocked at 2.15GHz, paired with 6GB RAM and Adreno 530 GPU. Some of the other features of the device are 16-megapixel rear camera; 8-megapixel front-facing camera; 4G LTE; 128GB inbuilt storage, and 3600mAh battery. The Vivo Y31A is already listed on the company official website and so far is on sale through China Telecom priced at CNY 999. That works out at around $154 or Rs. 10,250 although details on whether this phone will be sold outside China have not been announced yet.

The Vivo Y31 that released last year with a MediaTek processor. Now a successor has been launched in the form of the Vivo Y31A using a Snapdragon chipset.
