Virender Sehwag trolls British journalist Piers Morgan for mocking India’s celebration of winning two medals at the Rio Olympics 2016. Piers Morgan called India’s performance at the Rio de Janeiro Olympics “shameful” and the subsequent celebrations “embarrassing”.
Piers Morgan posted on his official Twitter account that the scenes were embarrassing considering how India were celebrating after winning just two medals at the Rio Olympics, despite being a nation of over 1.2 billion people.
Later, at the receiving end of a strong backlash, Piers Morgan wrote again, it was a shame that India couldn’t manage even a single gold medal at Rio.
Virender Sehwag gave an epic response to British journalist Piers Morgan on Twitter for mocking India’s celebration of winning two medals at Rio.
Piers Morgan replied saying that had Kevin Pietersen still been playing, they would have won the World Cup.
Virender Sehwag then had to remind Piers Morgan that Kevin Pietersen was originally from South Africa and not England, also he played in the 2007 World Cup.
India won just two medals at the Rio Olympics 2016. Sakshi Malik bagged bronze medal in women’s 58 kg wrestling category and PV Sindhu won the first ever silver medal for India in women’s badminton category.
