India Test captain Virat Kohli’s Foundation has joined hands with Abhishek Bachchan’s Playing for Humanity to take part in a charity football match where players are pitched against Bollywood celebrities on the football field. Virat Kohli has been often seen in Star India’s commercials practicing his football skills on the field. The game is also reported to see stars like Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Ranbir Kapoor among others.

The match termed as ‘Celebrity Classico 2016′ will take place at the Mumbai Football Arena, Andheri Sports Complex, on Saturday, June 4 with an objective to generate funds for the foundation’s’ charitable initiatives. Virat will lead the All Heart Football Club Virat Kohli Foundation and Abhishek Bachchan is set to lead All Stars Football Club run by Playing for Humanity.

In a recently released video, Virat Kohli can be seen practicing different tricks to fool a football referee.

Virat Kohli alongside MS Dhoni will take on All Stars Football Club, which features the likes Ranbir Kapoor, Siddharth Malhotra, Arjun Kapoor and is led by Abhishek Bachchan. Virat Kohli, apart from being a superstar in his own profession, is known for being a football fan as well. Earlier, Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane had praised Kohli for his outstanding performance against Australia in the T20 World Cup 2016.

Virat Kohli has been in outstanding form in recent times. In the recently concluded IPL 2016, he scored an astonishing 973 runs from 16 games. It also included four centuries and seven half-centuries. He became the highest run-scorer in an single IPL campaign. His display thought couldn’t guide RCB to their maiden IPL title, as Sunrisers Hyderabad beat them by 8 runs in the final.

Apart from MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli and Yuvraj Singh, Ajinkya Rahane, Zaheer Khan, Varun Aaron, Ishant Sharma and Hardik Pandya among others are set to take part in the match.

Virat Kohli will be putting his footballing skills to the test against a Bollywood XI to raise money for charity.
