Vinod Kambli and Sachin Tendulkar childhood friendship is a talk of legends in Mumbai’s cricketing circles. The friendship started in school when they put on a world record 664 run partnership in a school match. After some years, they both represented the Indian cricket team as their friendship continued well into their careers. However, the two best friends have fallen out in recent years with Kambli accusing Sachin of having ‘forgotten’ him.

Even Kambli was not invited to Sachin’s post retirement bash and wasn’t mentioned in the retirement speech either. On Monday, memories of their friendship were rekindled when Kambli posted a rather interesting one-worded tweet. Twitter handle @classifiedfact that updates daily facts on the social micro-blogging site posted this: Any friendship that exceeds the 7 year mark is most likely to last a lifetime. This status update perhaps touched Kambli’s raw nerve. He quoted the post and wrote:Wrong

Though he didn’t mention Sachin’s name, most observers feel that he was talking about the legendary Indian batting genius.

His tweet created a buzz around social media as Twitter users showed their sympathy to Kambli:
