Salman Khan and Anushka Sharma launched the trailer of ‘Sultan‘ on 24th May in Mumbai, at Filmcity. The trailer of Sultan has received both positive and negative reaction from the audience. Sultan has already crossed over 1.5 million views on YouTube.

Salman Khan plays a Haryanvi wrestler in the film and hence a lot of fight sequences can be seen. salman had a high time pumping up his body and toning himself to look like a wrestler. Anushka Sharma has been roped in to play the female lead opposite Khan in ‘Sultan’. “Sultan,” directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, will open in theatres on Eid. The sports-drama film features Amit Sadh and Randeep Hooda in key roles.

This is the first time Anushka Sharma is sharing screen space with Salman Khan. Anushka plays a female wrestler and Salman’s love interest in Sultan. Anushka had taken special training from experts to get her moves right. ‘Sultan’ seems to be a blend of Shah Rukh Khan’s Chak De, Priyanka Chopra’s Mary Kom and Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan. The movie begins with Salman thriving towards success and going back to zero after success gets into his head. He sets out on a journey to find a new start to his career after a long break. And he succeeds.

Salman Khan and Anushka Sharma starrer  SULTAN’s trailer is finally launch on 24th May

After Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Salman Khan revived his image as an actor. However, he sees to be taking the native villager look a step ahead with Sultan. Although, he doesn’t play an innocent man in the film, to some extent his look reminds everyone of Pawan Kumar Chaturvedi. Moreover, Salman tried to adapt the typical Haryanvi accent which looks highly fake. His body language and moves while performing stunts in the ring don’t look convincingly real as well.

The impressive trailer of Ali Abbas Zafar’s film is high on romance, passion and struggle. The second half is dominated by scenes of Khan picking himself off the ground and gearing for a glorious comeback. The good news is that Khan is playing a 40-year-old wrestler in the second half, and that’s a relief since a few Bollywood superstars have a weakness for playing youthful roles even if they have crossed their fifties in real life.
