Veteran on-screen character Om Puri has passed away after an enormous heart assault from the get-go Friday morning. The on-screen character was 66. Om Puri’s companions and associates from Bollywood achieved his Andheri living arrangement to pay their last regards to the performer. Puri’s body was taken to Cooper healing facility for after death, taking after which the memorial service will occur.

A former student of Film and Television Institute of India and also National School of Drama, Puri was on the bleeding edge of what was called workmanship movies development in the 70s. He has worked in acclaimed movies, for example, Bhavni Bhavai (1980), Sadgati (1981), Ardh Satya (1982), Mirch Masala (1986) and Dharavi (1992).

It is very sad that bright former student of FTII & NSD and award winner of Padam Shri & OBE Janab Om Puri had passed away due to heart attack at the age of 66 years. Being a great actor of Indian Cinema, British and Bollywood film Industry, who had worked more than 100 films Akroash, Arad Satya, Arhohan, Ghost and the Darkness, The Parole Officer, My son the Fanatic, East is East and Gandhi will be remembered forever by his fans including me.

Sadly, during last few months, his personal opinion(s) about nationalism & patriotism has been widely criticised. May God bless his Departed Soul to occupy special place in the Heaven. RIP
