The Union external affairs minister, Sushma Swaraj, even though Sushma Swaraj is in the hospital herself, waiting for her kidney transplant. She continues to prove herself and be a huge favorite with people, especially on Twitter. After helping a Ph.D. student in AIIMS, Swaraj has now started a smooth visa processing of a woman from Egypt who wanted to come to India for medical treatment.

The bed-ridden woman Eman Ahmed,36-year-old from Alexandria, Indian Embassy in Cairo issued a medical visa following an intervention by Swaraj. On 5th December, Eman Ahmed’s doctor Dr. Muffi Lakdawala had tweeted out to Swaraj asking for visa aid as she had been refused visa through the normal process. He tweeted,“Ma’am, Eman Ahmed (Egypt) 500kgs requested me 2 save her pls help me get her a medical visa as refused thru normal process @SushmaSwaraj.”

After receiving the tweet, Sushma replied the very next day saying,”“Thanks for bringing this to my notice. We will help her.”

A few hours later, Dr. Lakdawala a philanthropist tweeted saying that the visa was granted to Ahmed.

Dr. Lakdawala followed a tweet saying that my journey begins now.

According to My Medical Mantra, Eman Ahmed is called the world’s heaviest woman. She had not stepped out of her house for the past 20 years because of her weight. For her obesity surgery, she will be airlifted to Mumbai. Dr. Muffi Lakdawala says,” Her family has tried many doctors for her treatment, but everybody denies for her treatment. Her sister then got in touch with me when she came to know about me through her family friends who had been operated on me.”

“I am impressed by the Minister, being in the hospital and still helping people. Emma will fly to Mumbai next week,” says Dr. Lakdawala.
