Sushma Swaraj, Union external affairs minister has been ill and seeking treatment at AIIMS in Delhi, but has not stop rendering services or helping citizens in distress. She is very well known for her quick response on the social media platform. She answered the plea of the Indian Student who had the issue for her visa.
Geeta Singh, a Ph.D. scholar, tweeted to the minister after her visa for Australia was not granted, the female also said that she had applied for the visa long back and not yet received the visa and asked for the help. She also mentioned that she need the visa urgently, in view of presenting a research paper in Australia on December 7. The minister quickly responded to the tweet and asked her to meet her as soon as possible for further assistance.
The student’s urgent demand for the getting the visa as soon as possible was met in a day and on Monday (December 5), the minister tweeted that Singh’s visa has been granted.
Despite, being hospitalized because of her kidney failure and lying on the bed, she tried her best and helped the student. One of the users wrote saying,”We know ‘Work from Home’ but Mam, you are setting a new benchmark by working from Hospital. Thank you for your Service.”
However, the girl who was granted the visa deleted her Twitter account as soon as she received her visa. It is not clear why did she do that, but that has not stopped people from noticing the gesture by Swaraj.
