Filmmaker Shirish Kunder, who is best known for commercial cinema recently tried his hands at making a short film titled ‘Kriti‘, which was released online. The film was launched by Kangana Ranaut. ‘Kriti’ is a third short film of Shirish Kunder.
‘Kriti‘ stars Manoj Bajpayee, Neha Sharma and Radhika Apte. The unconventional poster of the film had already generated enough news around it. The film can now be watched online on YouTube. It is a emotional thriller which was released on June 22, 2016.
The film portrays Manoj Bajpayee in a negative role. The poster itself clearly depicted that the movie is going to be a psychological thriller. As per the statement that was given by the director, the film is going to be a dark and intense thriller. And that’s exactly what it has turned out to be.

At an event to launch the film, Shirish Kunder said, “I was very relieved, not thinking about box-office numbers, or the censors. We could have made whatever we wanted. In feature films when we think of something right and by the time we make it. Here you make something and it is out in 2-3 months.” Talking at the launch, Manoj said, “Short film is a way to think out of the box and Shirish Kunder is the right person for this. Kriti is a thriller and psychological drama – one of my favorite genres.”
The makers had revealed the first look of the film earlier which had got a good response but the film has got mixed reviews after its release. The director of the film, Shirish Kunder, had taken the opportunity of revealing the first look poster of the short film on his official Twitter handle.

The guest of honour at the event, Kangana said, “This film was such an intense experience. This is such an amazingly written, directed and performed piece of art. I am so happy that I am getting to launch a film made on a very big scale. I am happy that Shirish thought of something so progressive. I loved it, it is so spooky.”
The film starring Manoj Bajpayee, Neha Sharma and Radhika Apte, the 19-minute film is about a psychotic writer Sapan (Manoj), his creations and his psychiatrist Kalpana (Radhika). Shirish had previously directed Jaan-E-Mann and Joker but hasn’t had a good run at the box office.
