Bollywood superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar are the only Bollywood celebrity to feature in the Forbes list of world’s highest paid celebrities of 2016, according to an annual list by Forbes.
According to Forbes list, The highest paid celebrity of 2016, American singer and songwriter Taylor Swift with an earning of $170 million. In the list was Bollywood’s superstar Shah Rukh Khan stands on the 86th position with earnings of $33 million, while Akshay Kumar was in 94th position with $31.5 million.
Forbes said the “Fan” star “continues to rule Bollywood’s box office” with lead roles in hit films and also earns million dollars upfront fees and a cut of the back end for his efforts.
“He also cashes in on endorsement deals for dozens of brands most Americans have likely never heard of,” Forbes said.

One Direction and author James Patterson in second and third positions, respectively. The only actor to make it to the top 10 in the list is comedian Kevin Hart who stands on 6th position, WWE star and actor Dwayne Johnson stands on 19th position, actor Jackie Chan stand on 21 and reality TV show star Kim Kardashian stand on 43 position. According to Forbes, the world’s 100 highest-paid celebrities pulled in $ 5.1 billion pretax during the June 2015-2016 scoring period.
