Salman Khan attended the prayer meet of Rajshri Media CEO Rajjat Barjatya on Sunday. Salman Khan couldn’t control his emotions and was seen in tears. Filmmaker Sooraj Barjatya’s cousin Rajjat Barjatya, who was MD and CEO of Rajshri Media, passed away on Friday, 29 July 2016 after losing his life to a prolonged battle with cancer.
Good friend Salman Khan who’s been a Rajshri favourite ever since he started his career in Bollywood was present at the prayer meet. The superstar was inconsolable and broke down into tears when he went over to meet the Barjatya family.
On Saturday Salman Khan took to Twitter to express condolences over his demise.”Rest in peace my brother Rajjat Barjatya,” Salman wrote alongside a picture of him with Rajjat.
Salman Khan, who made his Bollywood debut with Barjatya’s Maine Pyar Kiya and some of his biggest films in the beginning of his career came with the Barjatya like Hum Aapke Hain Kaun, Hum Saath Saath Hain. Hence, he was understandably close to the Barjatya’s.
Salman Khan’s relationship with Barjatya family is well known, and he has been one of the favourite actors of Rajshri Productions. Salman’s last movie under the Rajshri Productions banner was Prem Ratan Dhan Payo.
The prayer meet was held on Sunday in Mumbai and several Bollywood stars were present at the meet to pay tributes to the CEO of Rajshri Media. Alvira, Salman, Sonam Kapoor, Subhash Ghai, Tara Sharma and Kunal Kohli among others attended the prayer meet on Sunday.
