Ranveer Singh is set to pay a homage to megastar Amitabh Bachchan through his performance at the upcoming Times of India Film Awards (TOIFA), slated to take place on March 18.

Besides Ranveer, superstars Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, actors Kareena Kapoor Khan, Varun Dhawan, Jacqueline Fernandez and rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh will also set the stage on fire with their scintillating acts.

Shah Rukh will be dancing to his biggest hit songs, while “Bajrangi Bhaijaan” star Salman will put up a great show by performing an act for all the “Heroes of Bollywood”.

Actor Ranveer Singh had a fanboy moment when senior colleague Amitabh Bachchan was honoured for Lifetime Achievement at the NDTV Indian of the Year 2015 awards.
Commenting on the slated performances, Shiamak Davar, who has choreographed the acts, said, “TOIFA is bringing the biggest Bollywood stars on stage with timeless classics, current hits and tribute to legends. The show will showcase the best of Bollywood.

Amitabh Bachchan, 73, was awarded for defining and redefining super stardom. Industrialist Anand Mahindra, who presented him his award, said, “It is a misnomer. Lifetime achievement implies that his best work is behind him. Nothing could be further from the truth for this man.”

Mr Bachchan was joined on stage by his wife Jaya, son Abhishek, daughter Shweta and son-in-law Nikhil Nanda. Abhishek Bachchan, an actor like his parents, said, “It’s weird to be an inheritor in a  room full of start ups. He never wanted us to look at him as a superstar. For us, he has been the best father.”

Ranveer Singh Said:

“I am a Hindi film fan first, then an actor. And if you are a Hindi film fan, you are an Amitabh Bachchan fan.”

“I told him ‘I am the seed you had sown several years ago.” He joked about making sequels to Big B’s films: “Shahenshah 2, Toofan 2, Do Aur Do Paanch Do.”

Humbled to be sharing this honour with my screen idol, the legendary @amitabhbachchan ! ❤️? #trulyspecial
