Director, Producer and Actor, The multi-talented Anurag Kashyap’s latest film, Raman Raghav vol 2.0 (‘Psycho Raman’), has been nominated to be screened or presented at the 27th Singapore International Film Festival (SGIFF) this year. Organizers told us that, Anurag Kashyap, one of India’s one of the well-known filmmakers and the head of mentor of Southeast Asian Film Lab at SGIFF, brings his latest serial killer thriller film ‘Raman Raghav 2.0’ to Singapore,”
The film is supported by intense performances by lead stars from the Raman Raghav vol 1. The film tours the demented psyches of a serial killer role done by Nawazuddin Siddiqui and a drug addicted cop, role done by Vicky Kaushal. Also in competition for Silver Screen Award is, Seema Biswas starer, ‘A Yellow Bird’, who is well known or famous for her role in ‘Bandit Queen.’
The 27th edition of Singapore International Film Festival (SGIFF) is set to deliver an interesting feast for the senses with a carefully organised selection of films and public programmers to tell the different kind of stories and share the art and knowledge of film making. SGIFF Program Director, Zhang Wenjie told us that this year they also have a number of new filmmakers from various countries such as Vietnam, Philippines, Indonesia, Cambodia, Laos, Mongolia, Japan, France, USA, Latin America, Nepal, Turkey, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Taiwan and Singapore.
