Ram Gopal Varma had confirmed that he will reunite with Amitabh Bachchan in Sarkar 3. After eight years of Sarkar Raj, Ram Gopal Varma has announced the third installment of Sarkar 3. He also confirmed that Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan won’t be featured in the third installment. Amitabh Bachchan will reportedly be seen in the third installment of Sarkar where he will be shown in an ‘angry man’ avatar.
According to Mumbai Mirror, Ram Gopal Varma was quoted as saying, “Two-three ideas were worked upon and discarded, and now, finally, we have a script we both are excited about,” adding that the film produced by Parag Sanghvi and Waves, rolls next month and will release in summer 2017.
Ram Gopal Varma said that Amitabh Bachchan will play the angry young man once again, an avatar the actor made famous in the 1970s.
He was quoted as saying, “The only time I remember seeing him really angry in the last 10 years is in Sarkar. Anger is a common emotion but Amitabh Bachchan’s anger gives it a larger than-life quality which I tried to portray in the film.”
Adding further, “Anger is a state of the mind and has nothing to do with age. It comes from a sense of justice, a feeling of righteousness. For too long he’s been playing mild, complacent characters, it’s high time his much-loved anger comes back”.
Ram Gopal Varma recently confirmed that he will be releasing the first look of the film on 26th August.
Ram Gopal Varma, who last directed the Veerappan biopic, is looking to get back to his third Sarkar film. He promises the scale of the third film will be bigger than the first two films and will be more intense. The rest of the announcements of the cast will be made at the launch of the first look of film on August 26.
