Pragyan Ojha hospitalised after ball hit him on the head while fielding in Duleep Trophy match

Spinner Pragyan Ojha was taken to hospital after a ball hit on his head while fielding for India Green in Duleep Trophy match against India Blue on Wednesday. The accident took place when India Blue player Pankaj Singh played a cross-batted shot took a bad bounce and hit Pragyan Ojha on the back of his head. He took his eyes off the ball while fielding at mid-on position.

Pragyan Ojha collapsed on the field and India Blue players quickly surrounded the left-arm spinner as he collapsed and umpires announced a break to the game to make sure Pragyan Ojha got the necessary treatment. He had to be stretchered off the field when he lost consciousness and was later transferred to a nearby hospital. Pragyan Ojha underwent a CT scan and has since been recovering from the injury..

Pragyan Ojha was taken to hospital immediately and is now in stable condition. The BCCI tweeted out a photo of Pragyan Ojha showing a thumbs up sign from his hospital room.

Pragyan Ojha, before suffering the blow on head, took three wickets for India Green. He dismissed Cheteshwar Pujara, Karn Sharma and Mohit Sharma. India Blue were bowled out for 298, setting an improbable 769-run target to win the match for India Green and book a spot in the final.
