The most popular TV comedy show Khichdi is back after a decade. The third season of the show is going to start and it will make us go ROFL as the cast is the original one.

The comedy show started in the year 2002 and it successfully had a two-year run. The second season, Instant Khichdi came out in 2015 and was shown on channel Star One. And now in the third season, the Gujarati family is back with the original cast. The show started in 2002 and had a successful two-year run. Jamnadas Majethia and Aatish Kapadia will be producing the show. The cast is Anang Desai, Rajeev Mehta, Supriya Pathak, Vandana Pathak and Jamnadas Majethia. In this latest season, we will see few of the new actors also.

A source close to the show told that the shooting for the show on Star Plus started on Friday at Suburban Studio. The Producer Aatish is working on the script for a while and had shot for the trailer a few months ago.

Even a movie came which was named as  Khichdi: The Movie. This movie was released on 1st October 2010 and it has the main cast. It is the first Indian TV series which came into a film. Supriya Pathak was nominated for the Filmfare Award for the Best Supporting Actress in the movie for her role of Hansaa.

In the first season, there was a story of a Gujarati family called Parekhs. They used to live in an old mansion as a joint family. They were living in a typically Indian situation but tried to solve it in the most atypical fashion imaginable. This is a funny bunch of people that are firmly united in their movement to get separated.

In the second season, they became millionaires overnight. The family is trying to fit in the high society and the lifestyle of the super-rich family.
