Pierce Brosnan says that he is shocked about Pan Bahar‘s unauthorized use of his image. Pierce Brosnan said that he is deeply shocked and saddened about his controversial participation in the endorsement of Pan Bahar which he thought to be as a breath freshener and he never knew that it may include ingredients that cause cancer. Pierce Brosnan also demanded that the company should remove his image from their advertisements.

Pierce Brosnan’s Pan Bahar contract explicitly stated that he was endorsing a “breath freshener”, People magazine reported on Thursday. The actor said he had signed the contract with the company to promote a single product that had “all-natural ingredients” and not anything that would contain tobacco, supari or other harmful contents.

As tobacco products in India come with a warning stating that its consumption will cause cancer, he demanded that the company should remove his image from their advertisements and product branding.

Pierce Brosnan said he was misled to believe that pan masala ad was for mouth freshener and apologized for the same.
