Pictures of Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan being carried by policemen during his visit to the flood-affected areas in Amanganj Tehsil of Panna district has gone viral on social media. policemen are seen carrying MP CM as they walk through ankle-deep water. Chouhan is seen managing to stay dry as his arms are wrapped over the policemen’s shoulders.
According to a NDTV report, the chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan was carried by policemen as the collector and the local police chief did not want him to get hurt or bitten by snakes.

A senior officer in the chief minister’s office speaking to Hindustan Times said, “Shivraj Singh Chouhan had trouble walking after his foot hit a hard object in the mud that’s why the security personnel lifted him on their own, despite insistence from the CM not to do so. The nullah (stream) was deeper ahead, hence security personnel took the decision out of security concerns as despite pain in his foot.”
Heavy rain lashed the state for the last two days and till last evening rain-related mishaps had claimed 15 lives. Shivraj Singh Chouhan met the flood-affected people and assured help for the victims of the rain fury across the state.
