Motherhood is a beautiful and inexplicable feeling. A mother would do anything to protect their kids, she can even fight the whole world alone. That’s the power of mothers love. But why do people still act weird and raise their eyebrows when they see a mother breastfeeding her child? Why is it such a hard thing digest? Is it something unnatural? Hell no! Why is it still considered a taboo that a mother cannot breastfeed a child in public? People are coming up with different ways to shatter the taboo of breastfeeding.
This photographer mom, Yaky Di Roma, from Florida came up with her own idea. The Venezuelan photographer‘s photo of her breastfeeding her son, 3-year-old Hans, while dressed as Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty is going viral.
“I WANTED TO DRESS UP AS MALEFICENT SO BADLY BECAUSE I WANTED TO SHOW THAT EVEN THE EVILEST CREATURES WOULD DO ANYTHING FOR THEIR LITTLE ONES.”
She posted this and the photos on Facebook and people can’t stop appreciating her work. But some people asked why was she breastfeeding her 3-year-old child. And she explained everything in a beautiful way. She explained her son has autism and has a hard time transitioning. He has found comfort in breastfeeding and she’s doing what she can to take care of her son.
″Of course I want to do whatever I can to help him. I just want to be a good mom and in the end, that’s what moms want to do, right? Be good moms to their little ones.”
These are some of the most beautiful pictures in a while now. Sheer beauty and perfect portrayal of motherhood. More power to you Di Roma.
