The Bollywood actor Sitaram Panchal passed away today early morning. Sitaram Panchal was best known for his role in Khan’s Paan Singh Tomar.  Sitaram was fighting with Lung and Kidney cancer from last three years. Panchal also worked with Akshay Kumar in Jolly LLB 2 and even with some other top celebrities from the industry. Sitaram Panchal was 54 years old and was suffering from cancer.

In the early morning, the actor complained that he is unable to breathe. He was rushed to the hospital and passed away around 7:45 AM. Today evening his last rites will take place.


Panchal made his Bollywood debut in 1994 in the movie “Bandit Queen” and then made his feature in such films like Peepli Live, Slumdog Millionaire, Paan Singh Tomar and Jolly LLB 2. His family said Panchal died today morning at his residence. From last few months, he was not keeping well as he had cancer.

As he was suffering from lung and kidney cancer he was also having a financial problem. Earlier in the month, he asked for financial help for his treatment on Social Media posts.

His wife Uma spoke to HindustanTimes, from past 10months he was totally on the bed. From January 2014 he got Cancer and was taking Ayurvedic treatment. He just recently started the new homeopathic medicine, after which his condition gone worse. Then they stopped the homeopathic treatment.

On Wednesday, Sitaram Panchal had his 26th wedding anniversary and he celebrated it with wife and Son. Rishab, his son uploaded a picture of his parents and wished them on the anniversary.

For the actor’s treatment, Harayana government offered Rs 5 Lakh, he continued Ayurvedic medicine and did not do allopathic treatment.

The Cine & TV Artistes Association (CINTAA) also uploaded about the actor’s condition and asked help from well wishers. For him, a fund raiser was also created and it collected Rs 1,06,575.  The description for the fund0-raiser said, “the actors like Sitaram are at the bottom in Bollywood. They are not paid much and they don’t have many connections also. When they are in trouble they don’t have any safety which can save them.
