Parthiv Patel is back on his way to Indian Cricket team after eight years, from the time when he was picked up in place of  wicketkeeper-batsman Wriddhiman Saha for the Third test between India vs England starting 26th November at PCA stadium in Mohali.

Saha, took over the position of wicketkeeping from Dhoni after his retirement from the format in December 2014 has been asked for rest for the third test match, after he developed a tight strain during the second match at Visakhapatnam, in order not to aggravate the injury. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) says ” As a precautionary measure, Saha has advised rest and will not play for the next match.”

Parthiv Patel 31, played his last 20 tests in 2008 in Sri Lanka and as a second of the two replacements at the position of Dinesh Kartik- Dinesh Karthik and other Dhoni who opted to to skip the three hour test tour. His last appearance was India in ODI in February in 2012.

Parthiv says ” i am happy to be back to the Indian squad after eight year” to TOI, where his team Gujarat is defending Mumbai in the seventh round of championship for the Ranji Trophy.This Ahemdabad diminutive cricketer made his first debut in the Indian Cricketer under the leadership of our Dada Sourav Ganguly when he was chose to play during the India’s tour of England 2002.

Since he has been dropped form the test scored he has consistently been a good run-scorer in the domestic cricket. in 2008-2009 and 2009-2010 in this domestic season he has scored 800 runs and has backed by 946 and 594 in 2010-2013 and 2013-2014 respectively. In the last two season he has scored  420 and 452 runs. In the ongoing competition of Ranji Trophy, he made 415 runs with an average of 59.28 and 17 dismissals. He will now link up with the Indian Cricket team at Mohali test.
