Flipkart, leading online shopping company in India is known for collaborating with new ventures. It never leaves any moment to compete with others in race. But the recent act made by it is being portrayed as an unethical step.
Flipkart on Thursday announced to sell One Plus 3, latest smartphone of OnePlus franchise below Rs.20000, which is actually a very much discounted price. It made the announcement on the Flipkart app and site for the “Big shopping day sale” which will start on this Sunday.
The matter of rage is that the Chinese Smartphone giant always sells its product through Amazon India. So this is why it was a shock for everyone. OnePlus Co-founder Carl Pei is also astonished by this act. Carl tweeted to the Indian e-commerce company’s Executive Chairman and Co-Founder Sachin Bansal, saying “What’s this? We’re exclusive with Amazon.”
However, Flipkart totally disagreed saying it has no control over its platform, its huge banner displays, or its social media channels. On the other side OnePlus said, “We have an exclusive partnership with Amazon in India. We advice customers to purchase OnePlus products only through official channels as we cannot guarantee the authenticity of the products sold elsewhere.”
So it can be derived that if OnePlus 3 is being sold on Flipkart it can happen only by a third-party seller, but we doubt it will carry sort of warranty or authenticity along with it if bought from an unofficial seller. Flipkart is flashing the rate of OnePlus 3 as Rs. 27,999 for 64 GB Soft Gold variant on the homepage, so according to this Rs 20,000 will cost after exchange discount or cashbacks. However Flipkart had still not made any official announcement regarding it.
