The film director, producer and the father of the most successful actress Mahesh Bhatt got an unknown call who threatened him and said to give Rs. 50 Lakh. On 26th February late night, Mahesh Bhatt received a call. The unknown caller said if he won’t give him the amount he will kill his Wife Soni Razdana and Daughter Alia Bhatt. As per the reports from India Today, late on Wednesday night, a FIR was registered, and the statement was recorded from the Bhatt’s family. Now the case has been transferred to Mumbai Police Anti-Extortion Cell(ANC).
A source said, first Mahesh Bhatt thought it as a prank, but when he received many texts and WhatsApp messages then he thought that he should not take it lightly and is it a threat. The caller even said, if his instruction weren’t followed, he’ll kill Alia Bhatt and Soni Razdan. The exact words were, “If you fail to do so, I will fire several rounds of bullets in your daughter Alia and wife Soni.”
The caller asked Mahesh Bhatt to deposit the amount in the Lucknow-based bank branch.
A police officer told India Today, “A case is registered under section 387 (causing a person to fear death or grievous hurt, in order to commit extortion.)”
Bhatt tweeted and said the threat to my family was nipped in the bud.

The point to be noted is after two years over 13 people belonging to a certain D gang who had plotted to eliminate Bhatt and his whole family, were arrested in November 2014. After two years this threat has come to Bhatt’s family.
