Actress Nargis Fakhri has reportedly been cheated of Rs 6 lakhs in a credit card fraud in a fraudulent transaction by an unidentified miscreant in the United States. It is suspected that her card information was copied and someone made a clone of her card and made around 14 different transaction. In all 14 transactions that were made had total around $9,062.

Nargis has approached the Juhu police and has even filed a complaint about the credit card fraud. Juhu police senior inspector Sunil Ghosalkar said the cloned card was used to withdraw money, not for shopping.
However, the actor, who was in Mumbai at the time, said text alerts from the bank showed the transactions had been “made against shopping payment”. A police officer assigned to the case said, “We are going to get details from Kotak Mahindra bank regarding the fraudulent transactions. A probe is also under way to check why the bank did not realize and stop the transactions when they went on for four hours.” A police official working on the case told TOI
Fakhri recently returned to India after a three month break and is currently busy promoting her upcoming film ‘Banjo’, which also stars Riteish Deshmukh in the lead role.
