The Uri attack has made an outbreak of public anger in the country. The film industry have divided between two parts after MNS had banned Pakistani actors from India. Some says Pakistani should not be banned while some says they should leave India.
Recently, Nana Patekar talked to the media and said, “Country comes first and other than my country at the moment, I don’t know anything else. Rather, I don’t want to know anything else. Actors are trivial compared to the country’s well being.”
He even said, people should not listen to Bollywood actors who are in support of Pakistani artists. He is clearly pointing towards Salman who recently talked in Delhi even in support of Pakistani Artists and said that artists are not terrorists and art should not be mixed with politics.
Nana criticised them in his own way and said Bollywood people are fake. Nana said, Salman told government gives visa and Artists are not terrorists. We should stay away from each other at the time of war between the countries. He was indirectly hitting Salman on this issue.
Nana Patekar also hit out at Salman Khan for backing Pakistani actors.
Nana added, “Salman Khan said they are artists not terrorists which I know and agree. But when two nations are in a state of war, it is better to separate everything. May be we can look at the situation differently when it changes.”
