There is a news that another big change has introduced to the worldwide cricket. As per the new rule by Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC), the cricketers who used the bats with an edge of more than 40mm will have to change their bats.

So if we see according to the rule, there are so many cricketers who need to change their bats. David Warner, Chris Gayle, Kieron Pollard and even Mahendra Singh Dhoni will have to change their bat. At present, MS Dhoni uses a bat of 45mm edge. The rule will affect all the players who are using a bat of more than 40mm.

As the new rule will be applied from October, MS Dhoni will be able to use his bat in Sri Lanka-India series, which will end on 6th September.

However, it’s a relief sigh for cricketers like Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, Shikhar Dhawan, Cheteshwar Pujara and the new comer Rishabh Pant who all are already using a bat with less than 40mm edge.

Times of India reports that MS Dhoni uses the heaviest bat with the total weight between 1250gm and 1300gm.

According to the new rules, bats will also be limited to 108mm in width and 67mm in depth. The new rule will be applied from 1st October.

Now, it will be interesting to see how the players play with the new bat. We wish them all the best. We hope there won’t come a lot of change in their game.
