Recently a Soldier in Kashmir has gone through thick snow; he took his mother’s dead body on his shoulder so that one last time his mother can come home. The Soldier’s name is Mohammed Abbas; his village is near the LOC( Line Of Control). Few of his relatives and Abbas carried his mother to his house.
Almost after 10 hours in a cold snow Mohammed Abbas and his relatives reached home. They have nearly walked till 50 Kilometres. They took this much time to reach to the village because on the way from Kupwara to Karnah there was a snow of six feet. Many villagers helped him to clear the way and allowed him to bring his mother home for last time.
Abbas is 25-year-old, and his post is in Pathankot. He lost his mother Sakeena Begum last week on January 28. Abbas said, the local authorities has promised him to give a helicopter to carry his mother’s body.

The administration kept us waiting with the body but they never sent the helicopter.” “It was a dangerous trek. We were stomping through snow with my mother’s body. It’s an avalanche-prone zone that we were moving through.”
