Director Nishikant Kamat’s ‘Madari’ is a socio political drama movie starring Irrfan Khan and Jimmy Sheirgill, is all set to release in June. The presence of Irrfan Khan speaks much about the film, however, considering the fact that the film was poorly promoted over the media. In fact, the poor or minimal promotion of the film has simply kept things aside for the film.
‘Madari’ will reportedly see Khan representing the Aam aadmi movement led by Arvind Kejriwal. It’s a common man’s fight against corruption. The film also stars Jimmy Shergill in an interesting role. Madari has been shot at locations like Hyderabad, Rajasthan, Delhi, Dehradun, Shimla and the last schedule of the film will be shot in Mumbai.
According to source, “Madari was scheduled for a September-end-release, but now there’s a push for an earlier date June already has a lot of big films, so it will most probably be sometime next week. They want to make the most of Irrfan’s winning streak. Irrfan is being kept in the loop and agrees with the decision.”
