Virat Kohli score of 82* from 51 balls helped India beat Australia and reach the semi finals of the ICC World T20. India face West Indies on March 31 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. The Indian vice-captain Virat Kohli knock, which included nine boundaries and two big sixes, came in at a time when the big 160 run target set on Australia, especially with the higher required run rate. Kohli’s magical batting was loved by cricketers and other top personalities. They took on to social media site Twitter to hail the great innings.

Virat Kholi said, “That performance certainly has to be in my top three but probably it is top right now because I’m a bit emotional, A lot was riding on us playing at home and with the crowd you want to give them as much entertainment as possible.”

Australian captain Steven Smith said, “That was a pretty serious innings there, under pressure. He hit it right out of the middle and he’s done it for a long time. Virat played an unbelievable knock. I think 160 was around par, it just took an unbelievable innings to get India over the line.”

Virat Kohli superbly led the chase hitting 32 runs from the last 11 balls as he finished with an unbeaten 82 runs. MS Dhoni smashed the final runs to secure victory with five balls of their 20 overs spare.

India will now meet West Indies in World T20 semi-final round of the tournament in Mumbai on Thursday a day after England face New Zealand in the other semi final in Dehli.
