A few weeks before Huawei is set to unveil the P9 smartphone which will sport a dual rear camera, the company President was reportedly spotted using the device! A report by MyDrivers shared two images in which one could see President of Huawei, holding a strange phone which looks similar to the recent Huawei P9 leaks. Huawei President of Consumer Business Unit in China, Zhu Ping had earlier shared the first teaser of the smartphone on Weibo and said, “P9, mobile phone photography once again break! So cool.”
Huawei seemingly confirmed the dual camera setup on its P9 smartphone in its official teaser for the launch event. The new leaked images show the Huawei P9 metal build alongside the fingerprint scanner placed on the back panel. At the back two cameras are visible on the top corner along with auto focus sensors and dual LED flash. Although the purpose of the second camera is not yet known, it might likely be used for wide angle capture or for refocusing after the image has been captured. The all metal device features chambered edges around the front panel. Other features rumored for the handset include USB Type-C port, 3.5mm jack and loudspeaker.
The handset is rumored to come with a 5.2 inch Full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and it will feature 3GB of RAM and a Kirin 950 processor. Other rumored specifications on the handset include 32GB of storage, a microSD card slot for expansion and a 3900 mAh battery. . The Huawei P9 is likely to come with a new version of the Emotion UI running on top of Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
