Tigers at a wildlife park in Beijing mauled a woman to death and wounded another as they stepped out of their vehicle during the safari, The incident took place Saturday at the Beijing Badaling Wildlife World. One woman was killed and another one injured another after the pair left their vehicle following an argument, Chinese media reported on Sunday.
CCTV footage shows the car stopping in the middle of the road before a woman gets out and walks quickly to the other side of the vehicle. A tiger then leaps at the woman from behind, dragging her away from the vehicle. Second woman tried to help her but was badly injured when she was attacked by another tiger.
The wildlife park, which has since been ordered to close, allows visitors to drive their own cars through an open space where the animals roam free. Visitors are allowed to drive in their private vehicles in the wildlife park but are not allowed to alight from their vehicles.
