Everyone loves to read fun facts, but many of these facts are entirely a myth and are floating around the internet. We usually believe everything that we read or hear. But the reality is, not all familiar saying are true. There are many false facts from history because they are not true and therefore are incredible.

1. Our tongue does not have different regions dedicated to identifying different tastes.

There is nothing like the top right portion is for sugary food and the left part detects salty flavors the reality is that each and every taste can be sensed equally on every part of the tongue.

2. Goldfish don’t have a memory of just three seconds.

Studies show that they can remember things for quite a long time. This fact was proved by a  scientist, he trained little golden fish to associate the sound with feeding time. Every time they played a particular sound, the fish would return for food. Isn’t that amazing?

3. Chameleons change their color according to their surroundings

Chameleons don’t change their color similar to their surroundings rather they change their color to communicate with each other.

4. Chewing gum takes 7 years to get digested.

Chewing gum won’t take 7 years to get digested. A portion of gum is indigestible, and it will simply pass through and be excreted. Relax and keep on munching your favorite chewing gum.

5. The Great Wall of China is visible from space.

The Great Wall of China is not visible from space. Moreover, astronauts can’t see much detail of any Earth structure with the naked eye.

6. Cracking the knuckles causes arthritis

Cracking the knuckles does not cause arthritis, the popping noise heard is from the displacement of air in the joint. Do you also find cracking knuckles relaxing?

7. Napoleon Bonaparte was short –

9. Fingernails and hair continue to grow after death –

Poinsettias are not lethal.  They may upset your pet’s stomach, but they won’t kill anybody. Poor lovely flowers are not to be blamed.
