Araku Valley in the state of Andhra Pradesh is a small, picturesque hill station that is renowned for its breathtaking landscapes and soothing weather. Located at a 3-hour drive from Visakhapatnam, this place has always been a chosen holiday destination for nature enthusiasts.

This year the AP tourism department together with Delhi-based Sky Walt and E-Factor decided to add another feather to the beauty of Araku Valley by organizing a unique hot air balloon festival. Under this initiative the sky above the Araku Valley will be blanketed with the colorful hot air balloons, creating a grand spectacle.

The Araku Balloon Festival is an International festival that will be held for three days, from 14 November – 16 November. In the event, 13 countries will be participating including India, Italy, France, Switzerland, Brazil, Malaysia, USA, Philippines, and Australia.

There will be 16 hot air balloons from these participating countries along with three ‘special-shape’ balloons representing the iconic characters, namely, ‘Bee’, ‘Iwi and Kiwi’ and ‘Neptuno’.  These Balloons will light up the sky all day long on all three days. This colorful canopy over the Araku Valley sky will definitely send your spirits soaring high.

The AP Tourism Department is propagating the Araku Balloon Festival as a non-ticketed festival that will also be the first of its kind and the best balloon festival in the country.

Besides watching the colorful display of hot air balloons in different shapes and sizes, the event will also showcase spectacular para-motoring displays, exciting hare and hound race and much more. While you are there also plan a visit to the tribal village and coffee plantations.

This enthralling Araku Valley Hot Air Balloon Festival is surely a must visit event for hot air balloon enthusiasts, avid travelers, and shutterbugs.

Tourists from different parts of the world are traveling to Araku Valley to witness this fantastic event.
