Fire broke out in a building at an industrial premises in suburban Goregaon in the wee hours on 1 July, the fire engulfed the basement of a building located inside Cama Industrial Estate. The building’s basement was allegedly being used to store cloth by a textile merchant.
The fire broke out around 6:30 am and fire department was immediately alerted about the incident. By 7 am, four fire tenders arrived at the spot. a fire official said. No one was reported hurt so far.

Five fire tenders, four water tankers along with a team of over 15 fire brigade personnel were rushed to the site to control the fire, the official said. Fire brought under control around 9:30 am. Damage confined to cloth and office furniture.
