We all have to deal with Monday blues but the problem arises when you feel the same for other days of the week. Are you feeling dull at the start of your day? Or maybe daydreaming constantly? Well before these signs begin to threaten your job in the company (we know how it difficult it is to get one) read on to learn about these 7 things you can do to stay energized at work.

1. Start getting up early

Rushing out off your bed every day is an unhealthy kick-start to your day. Start by setting your alarm first 15 minutes before the time you used to get up. This will give you the time to slowly awaken from your slumber and mentally prepare yourself for the day ahead. Getting up early also implies going to bed earlier at night.

2. Never skip your breakfast

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Start your day with a good dose of nutrients and vitamins that will keep you energized through the day. A small portion of healthy breakfast can give a right kick-start to your metabolism. Skipping breakfast can, however, decrease your physical activity and performance.

3. Start your day with natural sunlight

While you are working at your office desk all day long, you are deprived of natural sunlight. And this can make you feel lethargic and tired. Sun exposure increases the secretion of cortisol in the body that signals the brain that it is daytime. So if you want to feel energetic at work start your day with a walk and not a cup of coffee.

4. Get more organized at work

Before you start with your work, give yourself a moment to get organized. Clear all the clutter from your office desk and get your work sorted. Being unorganized can only cause you more stress at work.

5. Limit your caffeine

Drinking tea or coffee when you are feeling sleepy seems tempting but in reality, they do you more harm than good. Drinking coffee can keep your energy levels up but it also hampers with your sleep at night. Too much caffeine can even lead to dehydration. Therefore to keep your energy high at work, drink plenty of water. Experts suggest a minimum of 8 glasses of water every day for an adult.

6. Eat healthy lunch

While a portion of pasta seems very appetizing during lunch time, opt for something that is light and gives you a bowl of energy. Also, try eating away from your desk and take a quick 15-20 minutes walk after you have finished lunch. This small activity will make you feel more energized when you return to your work.

7. Exercise daily

If you want to keep your energy levels high at work all day long, make it a point to exercise daily. 30-minutes of physical activity daily can make you feel focused and motivated. Take time out to go for a walk, run or swim and the difference you notice will keep you hooked.

These were the 7 easiest way to energize yourself at work.
