She once told the TimesOfIndia, “Jab main aayi iss industry mein toh main Gujarati theatre karti thi aur mujhe pata nahi tha ki achha kaam kahan milta hai. (I didn’t really know what sort of people I was meeting and if I should work with them or not.) I am not bothered at all. I am happy where I am today. I have definitely met a lot of fraudsters in the entertainment industry in Mumbai, sometimes I did not get paid for the work I did. And then, there were times when I got the money magar kaam bakwaas tha. All this has been my learning, and I have no regrets.”

It was only after 10 years that fate changed for the actress and ‘Tarak Mehta’ came her way. Since then, there’s been no looking back for Disha.
