Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who stepped down as captain of India’s ODI and T20 teams, was not only the leader but also was the savior for his successor, Virat Kohli, through his tough times. Virat Kohli who revealed that the charming skipper had saved Delhi batsman dismiss from the Indian team many times. The new Indian Captain Virat Kohli told in the recent interview on Saturday.

Kohli has played his debut ODI international game against Sri Lanka back in 2008 under the captaincy of MS Dhoni. In his initial days, Virat did not do good both in ODIs and Tests, and he was not consistent in his game. His place in the team was not secure but the cool captain MS Dhoni had faith in him and his talents and even believed in Virat.

India’s new Captain Virat Kohli gave a beautiful tribute in all formats to the cool captain MS Dhoni on ‘’ Virat says that  Dhoni will always be the person who has guided me in my initial days and has given me a lot of opportunities. He further says that Dhoni has given him ample of time and space to grow as a cricketer and has saved him whenever he was dropped out of the India team.

Virat Kohli has made it clear that replacing Dhoni as a captain is a great task. And yes Virat Kohli has big shoes to fill in with success as the standard bar of India has reached a great height by the captain cool MS Dhoni. Kohli says that the first word that comes to your mind when you think of MS Dhoni is captain. He further says that Dhoni will always be my captain.

Virat Kohli’s has assigned a new assignment which starts with the six-match limited overs series against England starting in Pune on January 15.
