The Border Security Force(BSF) jawan Tej Bahadur Yadav who posted a video on Facebook went viral. The video showed the list of problems he and his colleagues suffer, the quality of food they get at the post in Jammu and Kashmir. And even the condition in which they live is worst. On Tuesday in an interview with India Today, Tej Bahadur Yadav said that his colleague’s jawans were so happy that he uploaded the video. He revealed that he was pressurized from his superiors to delete the video from Facebook and they even reassigned him from his job and gave a job of the plumber.
In 2010, the Border Security Force accused Yadav of being alcoholic and undisciplined. They even told that he was almost a court martialled but he was left because he has a family to whom he has to support. BSF targetted Tej Yadav for having a cell phone on duty which is banned. When Yadav was interacting with Indian Today he said, “I am not afraid of losing my job. If soldiers benefit from it, then I am ready to fight.”
The video which went viral on Facebook has revealed the bitter truths about the forces, it even declares that the higher officers sell off supplies which are meant for the soldiers. They forced the army to sleep on an empty stomach.
In the interview, Tej Bahadur Yadav said that he lifted the trouble over the food with his senior officer who did nothing except expressed his own inability. In the video, they even said that government is doing everything for the soldiers, but the senior officers are responsible for everything that is happening. Yadav claimed that the officers sell off their ration in the market and keep the money in their pocket.
Rajnath Singh Tweeted:
I have seen a video regarding a BSF jawan's plight. I have asked the HS to immediately seek a report from the BSF & take appropriate action.

Home Minister Rajnath Singh tweeted after watching the video and said he has seen the footage and has asked the Union Home Secretary to seek a report from the BSF. Even the force responded after seeing the video, tweeted, “BSF is highly sensitive to the welfare of soldiers. Individual aberrations, if any, are enquired into. A senior officer has already reached the location.”
Yesterday morning, Kiren Rijju the Minister of State of Home Affairs, also commented on this issue and tweeted;
Taken serious note of a BSF Jawan video. But during my regular visit to border posts I find high level of satisfactions amongst the jawans.
