Almost a week after the demonetization 500 and 1000 rupees notes, to remove black money from the Indian economy, in the private car which belonged to Bharatiya Janata Party leader and Maharashtra Cooperative Minister Subhash Deshmukh 91.5 lakh rupees in cash were found.

The car was owned by the group known as Lok Mangal group which was a Solapur based and was owned by Subhash Deshmukh. While the routine check of the vehicles, the car was stopped by the flying squad and while searching Osmanabad municipality officials removed cash worth rupees 91.5 lakh from the car.

After the recovery of the money from his car , the opposition party that is the Congress and NCP demanded the dismiss of the mister from the Ministry. The opposing party also demanded the Income Tax Department to examine the bank transaction of the BJP leader to the reveal the black money.

As reported in a daily , the staff of the Lok Mangal group admitted that the cash was of the Lok Mangal group bank account. Deshmukh also stated that that cash that was there in the car was to be given to the workers who worked in the sugar factory who were connected to the group. Prashant Narnaware, the collector of Osmanabad confirmed about the recovery of the cash in Deshmukh’s car.

Lok Mangal group was under the scan of Sebi in the past for irregularities for not organizing proper funds for the outfit
