The Board of Cricket for Control in India (BCCI) on Wednesday confirmed the Indian cricket team’s tour of Zimbabwe in june for a three-match ODI series and three T20 Internationals. all to be played at the Harare Sports Club. The BCCI confirmed the dates for the short series, with the ODIs to be played on June 11, 13 and 15 and the T20Is to follow on June 18, 20 and 22.
Zimbabwe Cricket managing director Wilfred Mukondiwa said, “After finalising all the formalities with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), we are pleased to announce the incoming tour scheduled for this June.”
The India tour to Zimbabwe has been a regular fixture on the calendar with the former touring in annually in the last few years. Last year India visited in July and the India, Zimbabwe played in three ODIs and two T20s. The hosts were whitewashed in the ODI series while the T-20 series ended in a draw.
Under the captaincy of Ajinka Rahane India in their last tour of Zimbabwe while there have been changes in Zimbabwe’s captaincy after Hamilton Masakadza took over from Elton Chigumbura last year. An India visit comes with it heavy financial benefits, but of equal importance for Zimbabwe will be results on the field where they will seek to improve on their International Cricket Council ODI rankings.

India had toured Zimbabwe in July last year, where they won the ODI series 3-0, while the T20 series was tied 1-1.
