Bajaj Auto announced on Thursday that bookings for ‘V’ are open till March 20 and deliveries will be made on March 23. The Bajaj V contains metal from India’s first and most celebrated aircraft carrier, the erstwhile INS Vikrant. The company has confirmed that all those customers who book by the March 20, are assured of owning a piece of history on March 23 (Martyr’s Day), immortalised by a commemorative insignia on the fuel tank assembly.
Categorised as an executive commuter motorcycle, ‘V’ is priced at Rs.62,076 plus Rs.999 (accessories kit) and is available for delivery on March 23 after booking during the window period of March 10-20.
The motorcycle is powered by a 150 cc DTS-i engine producing a torque of 13 Nm at 5,500 rotations per minute (RPM).The company hopes to sell 50,000 units of the Bajaj V in the next 12-18 months.
