iPhone SE and iPad Pro have officially launched today in the India. The iPhone SE and the new iPad Pro are available through the company online and offline retail partners in the India. iPhone SE price Rs 39,000 for the base line 16GB model. The 64GB model of the smartphone costs Rs 10,000 more at Rs 49,000. The phone was globally unveiled late last month alongside the iPad Pro 9.7-inch.
iPhone SE comes with 4-inch LED back-lit IPS LCD display with a resolution of 640 x 1136 pixels. It is powered by Apple A9 chipset with M9 motion co-processor. Other specifications of the device are 12 megapixel rear camera, 1.2 megapixel front camera and Touch ID. It runs the updated iOS 9.3 operating system. It will be available in Silver, Gray, Gold, Rose Gold colours.
The 9.7-inch iPad Pro on the other hand is available in 32GB, 128GB, and 256GB storage variants, in Wi-Fi only and Wi-Fi+Cellular models. The 32GB model is priced at Rs. 49,900, the 128GB model at Rs. 61,900, and the 256GB model at Rs. 73,900. The iPad Pro is powered by the A9X processor which Apple says is 70 per cent faster than the iPad Air 2. It even gets the imaging stack of the iPhone 6S. By this we mean, it has the same 12-megapixel camera with support for live photos and 4K video on the back. For selfies, it gets a 5-megapixel front facing camera and also a retina flash system embedded in the display.
iPhone SE will be available in India from today. Saw a couple of stores putting them up for the display yesterday.
